An agreement between [Louis] Bruni's attorneys and the Webb County Attorney's Office was reached before the hearing, however, which states that unless they are for the visually impaired, the machines will be barred from use for the rest of the early-voting period.

Bruni and the county agreed to an Oct. 27 deadline to have an agreement in place that will determine how, if at all, the machines will be used on Election Day, Nov. 4.

Why is it that the Republican candidate for Texas Senate District 21 gets to decide? At least he's skeptical of electronic voting machines.
