Most early Webb County voters will have paper ballots
The Republicans are crying foul over the electronic voting machines. We all should be crying foul over them.
The decision, made late Friday afternoon by Elections Administrator Oscar Villarreal, stems from a petition filed the same day by Republican Texas senatorial candidate and former Webb County Judge Louis Bruni. There were several problems with the machines and the first recount in the Democratic primary race for Sheriff.
Bruni seeks an injunction to prevent the use of electronic voting machines due to what he deems is their unreliability.
"It's very simple. All over the United States, there have been serious problems with the electronic voting machines," Bruni said.
"This lawsuit is not against Webb County or Oscar Villarreal. It's against the electronic voting machine.
