Lobbyist guilty in attempt to bribe El Paso City Commissioner
Antonio "Tony" Dill, a longtime El Paso political consultant who for years has worked behind the scenes as a lobbyist for contractors, pleaded guilty Wednesday to conspiring with others to bribe a current member of El Paso County Commissioners Court, court records show. The name of the commissioner was withheld in federal documents, and all members of the court denied that Dill attempted to bribe them.
We do have a possible clue, though.
In 2007, FBI agents raided the offices of County Judge Anthony Cobos and Commissioners Miguel Terán and Luis Sariñana.
