Bonilla's nanny problem

From a Texas Democratic Party email:

After being investigated for hiring an illegal British nanny, Republican Congressman Henry Bonilla voted against cracking down on employers who hire illegal immigrants. The U.S. Justice Department investigated Bonilla, who employed an illegal immigrant as a live-in nanny for seven years and failed to pay taxes or Social Security on his employee’s wages.

Bonilla, a freshman Congressman at the time, only terminated the woman for political cover after seeing the problems encountered by Zoe E. Baird, whose nomination as attorney general was dropped after it was disclosed she had hired illegal immigrants. [ Washington Post, 10/29/94]
