Rick runs from R label, too!

I just happened to have the TV on when Rick Perry's new ad aired. Boy, Rick is mighty proud. He's proud of Texas--as a matter of fact, his ad directed people to a proudoftexas.com website. He's proud of his excellent job stopping "lawsuit abuse." He's even proud of his accomplishments in school financing, which made me spit Diet Coke on my floor.

But old Rick seems to be ashamed of something. Not once did the ad mention the dreaded "R" word. It's one thing for Carol 4 names to drop Republican from her ads--it's quite another for the incumbent Republican governor to start running away from the elephant in the room.

My, my, my! Who'd have thought the mere mention of the word, "Republican," would strike fear and loathing into the hearts of Texans?
